I have years of experience presenting to all ages of fans of children's literature. My Presentations:

Kindergarten - 3rd grade: Presentation takes 50 minutes

- Reading of one of my picture books, Orangutan: A Day in the Rainforest Canopy

- Discussion of the story and topic, ecological awareness and protection of the wildlife habitats

- Children's stories, input, experiences

- Drawing project

- Distribution and signing of books

Grades 4 and 5: Presentation takes 1 hour

- Reading of one of my picture books, Agent H2O Rides the Water Cycle

- Discussion of water cycle science

- Children's commentary, their ideas for preserving natural resources

- Science experiment with condensation

- Distribution and signing of books

Grade 6: A story-writing workshop, presentation takes 1 hour

- Short discussion of the parameters of a picture book, and target age

- Group collaboration on a story, covering:

Protagonist, setting, and supporting characters

Plot with specific beginning, middle and end

Descriptive, powerful verbs, fewer adjectives and adverbs

Conflict, and failed attempts to solve it

Conflict resolution, and how it changes the protagonist 

Adults, interested in writing picture books: Presentation takes 1.5 hours

- Discussion of writing/illustration, publishing/printing, marketing/selling

- Book format, parameters of plot and character development

- Organizations and Facebook groups, resources

- Demonstration of character design

- Distribution and signing of books

I offer a school visit or adult workshop at a library or meeting room for free, requiring pre-sales of at least 20 books, which I'll autograph.

I can supply a digital flyer for promotion 3 weeks before the presentation.
